If your ever in this neck of the woods it is definately worth checking out. they are usually only open on saturdays and by appointment. I took a few pics, you can go to my album and look through.

I'm really disappointed with you Shawn, Christmas was 6 weeks ago, what was the delay in getting those pictures posted?
Where did you find the GT clone?
Pictures look good, hope you had a good time at the party.

Wow Shawn I am insanely jealous.
If Joan Jett was playing there and you watched the NASCAR race there, you would have scratched 4 of the top 10 off my bucket list. Guess I'll have to live longer

You lucky dog, you! I'm afraid that if I attended something like that, I'd return home covered in bruises...because I'd be pinching myself the whole time, so I know it's not a fantasy.
That is just too cool, on so many levels. Congrats!!
Bummer that there is the flash glare on this one. Great looking rig, from what I can see.

hey, I didnt drive the Ford GT it is a friend of mine who restores old mustangs, it is one of the newer ones, that car is really nice. I only wish I could buy one of them, then I would have my own shop to finish my own projects.
I was really busy these last few months taking on side work to pay bills. Sorry it took me so long to post them photos.
johnny no joan jett,

no nascar racing,

they had video behind that Daytona coupe of road racing
and MR Shelby is just as funny as always. just like the interviews on TV. so when slickstock comes to colorado this is one of the features we will have to schedule. I hope he will make it that long lol

Shawn are you saying there's a Shelby museum in Colorado too? Besides the one at Las Vegas Speedway/Shelby factory?
I din't know that.
still, it's a race between mr Shelby and me who will live long enough for me to meet him. I am still only on my FIRST heart tho.
at least Joan and I are the same age.

The one in vegas is not a museum that is the Shelby American store, I was there a few years back but did not get to go look, too much racing that weekend, this is an actual museum where all of this old stuff is stored away and maintained. they found the very first GT350 ever made down in mexico in ruins, it sits in this place as it was found unrestored. they have some of the GT 40's that shelby and his crew helped develop to run Lemans. there is even one of his old ferarris in there. so much stuff you need alot of time to get to each one and read. I spent a few minutes talking to one of the crew (they had special guests as well and this year was some of the teams) He was talking to me about the way they used to make the reverse 180 Deg headers for them GT 40's. Really interesting guy
They have that Cammer on display as well as a TP 427 and the small block for the GT 350's

oh yeah. that christmas party was invite only, if I didnt know Rich ( ford GT owner) I would have never gotten in, you have to pay for the ordeal and the autograph signing ( didnt get bc me poor) all proceeds go to maintaining this piece of history and the rest to the heart foundation.

Jim, Pretty rare car only a couple made, always one of my favorites too though. You can get a replica though that actually would have better street manners.

There was a fairly well done replica near me a few years ago, on consignment. Had one of the new aluminum 427's, with a 700+ horsey dyno sheet, to help make penniless guys like me stand there & drool.
I'd love to drive that baby to work a few times.

Thanks for sharing, Shawn. Ask your friend Rich if he knows Roger Schlump in Laramie,Wyo. Just curious-Roger knows most of the Ford guys in the Denver area. If that Daytona coupe was the one formerly owned by Ed Mullen, then Roger drove it from Daytona Beach Florida to Laramie in the early 70s. Once Roger got behind the wheel he wouldn't let Ed drive. So Roger has more miles in a Daytona coupe in 1 trip than most of the race drivers did in the 60s.

Funny you guys mention the clone daytona's, another friend of mine is building the air intake tubes and exhaust one one down at Hanksville Hot Rods, they make all sorts of fancy mandrel bent piping from the air tubes to custom exhaust ( like on my 06 F150) and roll cages
DCarr I will try to remember that name. I do not know all of the ford guys out here myself even. I have worked with quite a few road race drivers and crews, I pit crewed on the old Indy cars in the United states speedway series, then worked the corners for the cobra, vette, porsche, viper clubs at PPIR until it closed
Well PPIR opened back up this past year with conditions they can not hold any major events

( you can thank the twits that own the big money tracks in the south for that crap they dont care about the racing, just the money, and im proud to claim I do not support them,

) But we can still go road race down there.

I have not been involved with that for several years now. I will never stop my Drag racing, but may go help out from time to time if there is a free weekend.

I hope I get rich in time to have Shelby inc build me an aluminum 427- turned 502 I think? and get Carrol himself to sign it with a dremel, and shake his hand with a grin when I pick it up.
I would like nothing more.
I found the order page on his website to buy parts or the whole thing. No prices though. You have to put in your CC# before they even tell you how much.
