It has a nice vintage floor hurst indy shifter that i pulled from a van at a salvage yard. no column shift anymore. i think i have too much into the 240 to yank it right now. besides, she has been good to me and i would hate to put her on a stand and never run her again.

JC Whitney Wiper Delay, Transmission, Rearend. HELP/IDEAS???

After 3 years of my '65 being restomodded and put back on the road. I have decided that it is time for some changes. First things first. I have been wanting delay wipers ever since the first day it drizzled and i flipped the switch back and fourth for a 6 hour round trip. Not fun. So while the truck...

Modifying steel rims. Any suggestions?

recently i had the urge to take a bunch of my leftover slick parts and use them to make a rat rod. just for fun. i have a late 80's ford crown vic frame and running gear that i plan to set it on. at a swap meet i picked up a set of 16inch steel rims that are off a nissan and share the same lug spaci...

Speedo Calibration

Hi guys, long time no update on my part. (ill add pics later, im almost done) anyway i was wondering if someone out there was experienced enough to tell me how to do this: original my truck had 4:11 gears in the rear. i have driven enough tractors in my life so i switched them for a set of lincoln 2...

Ahhhh... 240 + 390 = Good combo. Well mine would have touched the frame if I wouldn't have left the sawsall out in the open when I took a dump. My helpers made a "nice" (ie big) cutout in the frame that one day I will have to fix. Replacing the starter is a PITA. Intake has to come off as...

MadMaxetc: the 390 holley does just fine. for now anyway. i had the truck up to 70 with no lack of power or fuel. the 2.50 gears really help to stay in the lower rpm power range though. at 60 im cruising at about two grand. so it never starves for fuel. mine is a 240. had i had a 300 i would have go...

New Guy w/ a Question (or two)

Hi all, just a little background. bought my 65' f100 shortbed fleetside about a year and a half ago. paid $300 for it and drug it (literally) home with a tractor. little gas in the carb and a fresh battery and she fired right up. Since then ive torn it all the way down to the frame. new brakes, shoc...
