That is an awesome piece of legislation. I really hope that passes.

I have the front end under my truck right now. I still have to figure out motor issues and get a motor installed, so I haven't driven it, nor do I know about final ride height. The dakota seems to be a popular IFS to run, but I am building on a budget, and the aerostar IFS fits without buying a 700 ...

My uncle got some sort of antique insurance on his 82 Silverado. Definite restrictions. He took pictures and sent them in so they could write the policy They told him he had to take the toolbox and trailer ball off the truck before they would insure. Had to be stored indoors. I had State Farm on the...

Yeah, I agree. It is alright to lance a boil, but there are some things I don't want lanced. And seriously, one date, would that be so bad. I would go on a questionable date for a seat. My wife prolly would too. :) But if you aren't ready, may I suggest the rebuilding power of cardboard? Some forwar...

I am planning on using a rear air unit out of a conversion van also. Mine is A/C only. I want to just use it like a regular old underdash air. It has a front on it. It is plastic, and has 3 round outlets, where the ducting in the van connected to the unit. I am prolly gonna get a local sheetmetal sh...

I think I am gonna try and use the fuel tank out of the explorer. Got to flip it over and measure the thing and see if it will fit. I looked on fordfuelinjection.com and didn't see anything specifically about the explorer motors. I don't know how different they are with the Distributorless ignition....

The front end is welded up under the truck. If I could find a rear sump oil pan, I could run that on the 223 and everything would clear and be fine. But I am pretty excited about maybe using the explorer motor. I think I can get the motor, trans, rear end, and all the wiring/computer to put the comp...

I really don't want to run a 302. That 223 is just so good on fuel. But if it don't fit, it don't fit. And you are right, that Explorer motor would be lots of fun. THe explorer also has a 3.73 posi disc brake rear end under it, which would be very nice also. I gotta drag a battery out and see if the...

The centerline is very easy to find on the frame. THe truck uses bumpstops nie and centered above front axle. Those holes make a very nie point to center from. And on another note...I am gonna have to pull the 223 out. It clears the crossmember, but I am having some wacky issues with it clearing the...

Yeah, they have a pretty neat, very tall floor shifter. And the big plus, I think they linkage/cable would prolly hook right up to a Ford AOD. I snagged one, but I don't think I am gonna use it. Those trucks also have a very slick accelorator pedal/cable that i simple and easy to remove/adapt from h...
