Check inside the distributor cap for anything funky...things like carbon tracks (look like cracks), center button worn way down, loose pointer on the rotor, etc. Also, make sure there's no play on the magnetic pickup beneath the rotor. It should rot...

My 390 is in a very bad mood at the moment. At no gas she runs nice but when I give her a little gas she dies, and then when I give her full throttle she pulls but misses a lot and shoots in the pipes. Have checked sparks and cables and they seems to work. Hope you people understand my writing. Janne.

Sweeeeeet. I like it. Hope my flair side bed comes out that nice. Welcome to the family. U@ss Thanks! It looks really good from 10+ feet away. Has rust in the usual places, though. Runs good: original 292 rebuilt less than 12K miles ago, Edelbrock carb, tiny little chrome air cleaner. Anxious to ge...

Re: She locked up in third!!
[quote="Doc Pepper"]I was on my way home when slowing down for one of the ever increasing traffic signals in this town when I couldn't get the TOT to shift out of high gear.
Mine -66 do the same sometimes. Cant change from third to first directly so I must have to go up in second first.

Or should I say hingeproblems. My hood fits like it was drunk. But the local junkyard only got newer F100/250.Early seventies. Do the hinges fits? Maybe its not a good idea if they are worn out anyway.
