I did a swap on my 65 250.Used a 1976 (Ithink) donor.Swapped the I beams because of the kingpin sizes were different.Replaced all the bushings and tie rods and got it aligned.No problems.

Banjo is correct.I did the brakes and p/s swap on a 65 250.Just find a mid 70's donar and part out the rest of the truck.You may be able to pay for your conversion.

There is a Bendex unit that is a straight bolt on.No steering column welding or replacement needed.They have some leaking issues and have no road feel.I have one in the garage for sale if you are interested.

Lokar makes a cable downshift kit.I put one on my c-6 390.

Mine doesn't seem to have a problem breaking them loose with that little 390 and 4:10 gears.These old trucks were made for work and an idle (empty)bed is the playground for the devil.
