Re: Houston, we have a problem
Guys just getting back in town, I don't think I have any parts you might need, but if you need measurements I have the front end off mine right now so it would be easy to measure.

Re: LMC Master Cly.and Combo Valve
Thanks for the info, about how much room is there between the firewall and the back of the booster? I have gone the hydraulic route and the clutch master is just to the left of the brake master cylinder, so I'm not sure I have enough room for the booster.

LMC Master Cly.and Combo Valve
Has anyone used the LMC unit? Looks like a nice package for disc brake set up on twin I beam. Says it's to be used with their disc brake conversion kit, which looks to me to be 73/78 spindles and rotors, which I already harvested from the junk yard.

Re: Slick Reunion - All back in one place.
I made the mistake of selling mine prior to move to this house and building my shop, it was in perfect condtion, I have kicked myself in the butt several times for selling it. My problem is I want one back, but more than likely I would never install on the truck either. There are several for sale he...

Re: Good deal for somebody/ crew cab
He has a fresh add on CL today I sent an e-mail yesterday and he was basically a smart ass remarking he would sell the cab only, for $3,500 I said thanks but no thanks. http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/3845586982.html Maybe he will be at Conroe this weekend???? I agree if someone had a wad of money...

Re: My favorite shop
I hear you Paul, if it's going to take having AC for Skip to come over to help me, I guess I'll just have to do the current Slick project by myself! You don't happen to have a couple of bent up over the door moldings do you? This new headline doesn't look very good with big ole hand clamps holding i...

Re: My favorite shop
Way to go Daryl... I guess the rest of us here in the Houston area need upgrade our shops so Skip can come by and help us on our trucks? I think Robert and Ruth have the best set up in our area, hard to beat lifts and pool tables! Hard to beat Daryl's AC though, I just wish he didn't live in East Sa...

Re: IM GOING TO BE A SLICK OWNER AGAIN!!!
What kind of wax you going to use?
I saw a couple of steering wheels at Pate, none that were in the kind of shape you need for a nice truck like that.

Fits good, now if I could only find one of those sets of chrome trim for over the doors I saved up life would be good.
I will try to post pictures later.

Re: Another one (project) bites the dust
If you have all new parts and it isn't running then one of those all new parts is bad, or it's something like I have listed below. I think, it's like mine you sometimes have to loosen that bowl which I think kind of burbs the tank and it clears the passage of debris and air in the line. After replac...

Re: Another one (project) bites the dust
Is that the same tractor that wasn't running at the car show yesterday? Bring that thing over to my house and I can have it running like a top in about 5 minutes, if I can't get it running I will trade him for mine, which looks like you know what but starts everytime. That thing doesn't have enough ...

Re: Front Sway Bar Install
Make sure you take a big hammer and a couple of 1 1/8 wrenches. It took Skip and I three hours to get the whole set off, it's worth the effort.
I'll try to post pic's as I do mine.

Re: Front Sway Bar Install
I'm doing mine as we speak, the big questions are: 1. Do you have the Disc Brake set up yet (73/78)? The radius arms should have a notch on the end of them. 2. Did you take the cups that attach to the radius arms and then to the swap bar links, off the truck you got the sway bar from? My sway bar is...

Re: Testing a new theory
The theroy worked to perfection, but having all of Skips tools only 2 miles away was a big factor in taking the chance in the first place. Skip failed to mention that I snapped his 1/2 Snap On rachet like a twig. oh well at least we got the thing off. Two trips to Paradise first, to get all of Skips...
