I dont even look at the slick facebook much. maybe once every 6 months. I am just too busy (my own fault).

Re: my shipwrecked '63
Talking with the seller of the 79 cherokee, he mentioned he has another 360 with a manual transmission willing to sell for 500. Worth it? Currently it has a 360 with automatic. I kind of want them to rebuild, but I do plan to keep the 360 with automatic in it for the purpose of this build. So- maybe...

Re: my shipwrecked '63
I am not worried about engine of this model- its got the 360. Though they did convert it to propane for offroading- which i would want to take out. The current wheels are too big. too wide- wrong tread for all terain (road and some offroad). The more pictures they showed me of the body- its got a lo...

Update on new project plan. There are two things I am looking to do but not sure which I am going to run with. Have an opportunity to purchase a 1979 Cherokee for 2k locally. it has a 360ci v8. Body appears in good condition. or buy a 50s Willy's wagon body and a jeep TJ and body swap the wagon onto...

Decided to drive shipwrecked to work sunday because i wanted to do some cleaning up on it. Everything started just fine. Fist turn of the key and she fired right up. drove 3 miles and everything was fine. at 3.5 miles, engine shut off. pulled over, restarted. First and second gear fine. Got to third...

If she aint leaking- she's out of oil... https://i.postimg.cc/x891Mwcb/20240902_094619.jpg before anyone calls the NRC (national response center) regarding the oil sheen, it had just rained a deluge and there are a few factors that caused a small sheen. The truck is almost 70 years old. I filled oil...

Took shipwrecked to the cruise in on Saturday. lots of folks were very interested in it. As one person said, they never seen one of this age before. She drove straight and true and stopped on a dime. https://i.postimg.cc/05B2M9wf/456769774_10229459449324880_3212200783117979533_n.jpg https://i.postim...

Re: my shipwrecked '63
I removed the booster completely and just put the master cylinder back on, bled it and moved on.
I suspect I had a problem with that booster. All roads in troubleshooting returned to it.
Just disc brakes all around with a dual master cylinder and a prop valve. Thats all in the system now- no booster.

Re: my shipwrecked '63
I pulled the vacuum booster and put the master cylinder back in. bled all brakes again and this time I had good brakes all around. Should I leave that prop valve tool in place? I put that switch back on, but I dont have anything attached to it as I use an electric switch for the brake lights on the ...

Re: my shipwrecked '63
Have had nothing but issues trying to get a good pedal with the booster. Engine off... good pedal. Turn engine on, it's under vacuum, immediate loss of pedal so I am gonna pull it again and re bleed the master cylinder but keep the booster off and see what happens.
