I read the article on swamping disc brakes but after the search I am more unsure of what I need???
Anyway I found a 71 3/4 ton 2X with a V8 (selling parts) but I am not sure what I can use and what is a waste of $$$ and time to pull.
To set the stage (so to speak) my 66 is a 1/2 ton short step with a 6 & C4.
I would like to upgrade to disc brakes, power would also be a nice addition while I am at it (if this truck's parts will work) it also has power steering along with the package, as well as the distributor.
So what is any of these parts would work?
Or am I better of going another route?
I also should not I just swapped out the rear end gears (mine was a 3spd truck) and the rear end was very loud anyway. I also like the rims I have so I want to keep the 5X5.5 also.
