On the top of the switch housing itself, up under the dashboard, is a Push Pin & spring affair. With the Battery Neg' cable removed, pull the knob all the way to it's outward stop, headlights on position.
Reach up under dash and with your thumb, or index finger, depress push pin, pull knob & SHAFT free of switch assembly.
Undo the retainer using a flat screw driver or if you have correct male spanner use it. Switch assy will become free from dasboard when retainer bolt is fully backed out.

Hope this helps ya out.

On top of the switch behind the dash is a little button push down on it while pulling out the knob.

I'm glad I found this thread, as I have to remove all of my interior knobs and such for painting the cab today...I thought I saw another recent tread about this, does anyone else have more info on removing all of the dash knobs? Thanks!
