Oregon Newbie

Post by Gnarls Hectic »

Hello from SW Oregon. I have obtained a 66 Custom Cab F250. I'm pretty excited about this truck and am finding lots of good info and resources on this site. I'm a bit of an anomaly here since I'm not generally a Ford guy although my very first vehicle was a 58 Ford long box pick up. I am also restoring a 1961 GMC K1000. The GMC is a replacement for my second vehicle I ever owned. Funny how these things are connections to our past. I really loved both of those trucks while I had em back in the 70/80s and am enjoying having like vehicles again. My daily driver is a 01 Dodge 2500 Diesel so I buy american and support all the US auto builders. Again Hi wave.gif

I'll take a few of the engine bay. Has 352 somewhere under the grease layer. I'm working out the ignition issue right now. No spark so all the ignition wiring has to be traced. Got lots of info from past posts, even wiring diagrams. You guys rule.

What a difference a bath makes! I couldn't tell it was 2-tone in the first shots. Nice color combo.

Hey just noticed on your sig where you have a XT500 Yamaha. I had a 78 SR500 and a 79 TT500 both were awesome bikes. Still have some scars from the TT
