Car show weekend

I just got back from a 4 day weekend show in Ocean City Md. Besides Slickstock, this was the coolest show I've ever been to. Seen everything and anything. They register 3200 cars officially and unoffically at least that many more show up. I wasn't registered this but already signed up for next year, only seen 1 other uni, a longbed, a couple of 66's and a 64' with a basturdized motor. I actually even took a couple of pic of a couple chevy's I liked namely a 59' El Camino, come to find out he has a 63' uni too. It's one big show from 1 end of the city to the other end. We had a great time and can't wait til' next year. I love the continuing trend of Ford motors in old Ford Hotrods. One of my personal favs. is my buddy's Cale Yarborough Cyclone.

Sweet trucknut!!!! I haven't seen one of those amphibi-cars in years... used to be one here locally. I guess every car show has to have a milk truck also... one around here is hot rodded big time.... the pics are awesome!!! is this a once a year show??

This particular show is once a year, There's a smaller one in October don't know if it's put on by the same peolpe or not, I think it' registers 1700 in that one. Thanks for looking Anthony.

Looks like that was a good time Charlie. You should register your Uni for next time, you can definitely hang with those rides. That green 57 Merc is sweet and different.

But we did miss you at Chuck's!

There was alot of Mercs. there, it was a great time. I thin it would be a great place to show them what Slickdom is all about. It would be great seeing a row of slick's amonst the nova's and camaro's.

Cool pics Charlie. I'm kinda partial to the old Fairlanes myself. There were a few nice ones there.
We did miss you at our gathering but I can see you had a good time there.

I remember the year I graduated HS the local Plymouth dealer had a red one sitting in their showroom had the "little engine" 440 not the 426 Hemi automatic. As I remember the window sticker was $4400.00 it sat there for over a year unsold.

I saw that same '67 Amphicar in April 2009 at a Virginia Beach car show. I remembered the tag 'I swim".
Wonder how he got it across the Chesapeak Bay?

I saw quite a few of those Amphicars around the lakes of Wisconsin as I was growing up. They bring a really pretty penny now for a nice one.

That Cyclone Cale Yarborough Special is a rare one. A kid in my school had one of those back in '77, in the great UP of Michigan. At that time that one was already rusty beyond what I would call hope. I thought I had spotted another one behind a house here in Taylorsville, IN - but it has disappeared.

Love the Falcon Delivery, and the '59 ElCamino.

I have a soft spot for '66 Chevy's. I had an Impala 2dr HT and a Bel Air 2dr sedan. Seeing that black one makes me happy that the Pro-street "fad" is OVER.

Thanks, The Cale Yarborough is a really nice car, Cale autographed under the trunk lid too at Atlanta Motor Speedway, I have a pic somewhere of that too. Theres plenty more I should have taken pics of. That black Impala was real nice and wasn't overdone, shiny black and straight, if it wasn't it would show on those cars. It was definitely fun.
