The Slick Made the Trip

Post by Stephen »

For anyone interested I drove my '64 F100 from Enterprise, KS to Cookeville, TN 804 miles give or take with no issues. She'll remain here until I can work on her from top to bottom:) It was like traveling back in time: no power steering, no power brakes, single brake cylnder, lap belt and all. It was a blast!

They are cool to drive.
That is why I bought the 64 - I can have it on the road pretty quickly. The Uni will still take awhile and I miss driving one.

Did my 61 Uni from Vegas to Raliegh N.C. in 2002, 2300 miles towing my 89 F150. Same thing no problem the 292 never missed a beat.

I owned a 64 model back in the day and it was the only vehicle i owned for about a year. I drove it every day without any problems what so ever. I even made some pretty long trips with it. No power steering, not power brakes and no A/C. It didnlt bother me, I didn't know any better.

I hope I always stay crazy, because I know if I ever become sane, it will drive me crazy.
