cab lights

Has anybody converted the cab corner lights on the roof of the truck to turn signals. Not the clearance lights (the three in the middle) but the ones one the left and right of the cab roof.

Never seen it done, but it would be easy enough to do. If you put double contact sockets in the housings they would work as both signals and clearance lights. Or you could just wire them to the signals and not have them on as running lights. Might get some hassles from the Smokies there though, all lights have to work, and they might say they should be on with the rest.
Lots of older trucks have those "Mickey Mouse ears" on the roof as signal light kits. Yours would be the same basic idea.
I have wired the lights in my mirrors as signals as above.

I haddn't yet but planning on having my left and right hooked up to the blinkers plus being on when lights are active. I will still use one light but it will blink with the correct blinker is active. I also plan to put the haz light into the mix.

If you can use a 194 style socket as it is insulated has 2 leads one power and one ground, leave one for power and the other to your corresponding FRONT turn signal. When the turn signal is activated it will blink the same as the other fender/valance light. When you activate the turn signal with the running lights are on that light will blink opposite of the fender/valance light.

YES, it does work I did this to my 79 150 on the front fender side marker lights, cut off the ground and tapped into front signal lamp, myself and a friend had the only 2 Fords around like that.
