I am running into the same tight tolerance for my 4.6 DOHC. I am going to use the Sanderson Headers on mine too. By their dimensions on the website they should fit just like yours. Tight but it should go. I hope the steering shaft clearance is okay.

what frontend are you using? I have great clearance with boss exhaust manifolds on my 4.6 but I am using a crown vic suspension

im using a camaro, but im sure ur askin him... i have no idea what he's using.
im pretty happy with these sanderson headers, for the money they seem very nice.

got some more work done today, motor mounts built and mocked up. tranny cross member built ( still needs tabs welded on)

got a bit more done...
buddy of mine told me about a shorter oil filter...tons of clearance now

the motor and tranny are completely mounted now

preciate it! things might move slow for the next week or so.... gave my dad the axles and all four rotors to do some machining on em ( bolt pattern change and changing the hub/ bore diameters )

i need to burn everything in and get it ready to blow back apart to take it off the table. i dread doin all the mounts for the body on the frame.... think the body is gunna go on a rotiessrie 1st and fix the mounts on it, then i'll deal with the frame side of it.

did a lil after work

made the dipstick tube fit.... took a couple bends and i still have to make the tab work

my dad finished up the front rotors for me. axles are next

been messing with other peoples stuff but i got a lil done on this last few days

mocked up my gm alt, 82 e350 power steering pump, and mini starter.

hoses will be fun

driver hub/ brake assembled

2000 jeep rotors and redrilled axles

axle bracket and 3/4 ton gm calipers

i replaced the axle bearings and seals today. also welded the pass side caliper mount and got it all mocked up. been welding the frame and four link mounts when i get a free chance, tryin not to cook my welder also!

got some shop time today.... tacked inthe front cab mounts, its a shortened stock one
built one of the rear cab mounts also... still need to build one more

its missing the hole on the top for the bushing/ bolt to go through, maybe thats messing you up? also the hole/ tube through the side is just for looks and strength.
basically it'll weld to the frame just like in the scrap piece in the pic and the bushing will go on top then the cab will sit on it. it'll use the spot where the gas tank mounting bolts go.
