What about if you have a two-tone and are going to also do in inside and bottom of the cab?

Thanks!

It depends on whether you are painting single stage or two stage, what kind and quality paint you are using. Four coats are plenty, you can do a lot of color sanding with four coats. If you're using a good quality paint you should have plenty of paint with two gallons even if you paint the interior if your using single stage. If you use two stage you're going to use a lot more clear coat than you are base coat. Don't forget to use a sealer it will let your paint cover quicker and more evenly. I've been doing this part time for about forty years. Don't cut corners and screw up a lot of your hard work.

I sprayed 1.5 gallons (mixed) base, on my long bed, everything was done inside and out except the bed. 3 coats on everything with the base, 5
coats clear.
