I have been MIA the past few years busy with work but needed to jump on and get this out there. I am posting this on behalf of Sinc and some others behind the scenes. Sinc works here at the Simone Museum and with a little bit of his networking skills has pulled off another milestone for MAC and the whole Slick group. Thank you Sinc for helping to make this happen!! For those who are new to this club there is a long story on this truck.
Truck looks great! Glad to see it spruced up and in a position to get the attention it deserves. The last pictures I saw it looked like it was suffering from neglect. Would love to be able to afford to fly up and take a look in person.
My bucket list includes: Build a XL100 clone

definitely too early for them! we had about 4 inches of wet snow and as a result I was clearing fallen tree branches out of the drive way before I drove down to see Sinc and the XL-- didn't have time to change out of them, wanted to get to the museum before the free cheese steaks were gone!

It is so cool it's all back together (last pics I saw the engine wasn't done). Cleans up real good doesn't she!
Are there any plans for running the XL down the 1/4 once or so for old times sake or in at vintage races? Slick Stock 5 would be a good place to display it too.
mmmmmmmmm - real Philadelphia cheese steaks - mmmmmmmmm
If you have never had them those a real treat guys! Thanks to Sinc for introducing me to them too! The MAC guys have a real knack for treating you like family if any of you ever get out there.
You are right Chris - it's probably under appreciated but then again - how many people don't know it exists or maybe don't know it was even built? Be a cool feature for Hemming's Muscle Car magazine - they do articles on vintage racers too.
1964 F 100 - I am going to do "something" with it.......
Thanks for the great pics Rich. Always good to see the F100XL in pictures and wish I could have seen it there too.
Free Philly Cheese Steaks?????MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!! TR
Darn it Bill.....you NEVER mentioned "FREE" cheese steaks.
Looks like a great time, sorry I missed it. How is the old farmer anyway?

INEPTOCRACY: (in-ep'-toc-ra-cy) : a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.
Farmer Bill stopped in tonight and we talked for a couple hours. He wanted me to pass on a Farmer Bill Hello to everyone. His computer crashed a while back and he has not replaced it. He tolded me he took it out in the driveway and ran it over with a tractor. Truck is doing well and looking good from when we first saw it in 2005.
