I Just Finished Touching Up The Red On My Hood Emblem With Some Duplicolor Cardinal Red. Was There A Special Red That Ford Used For The Hood Emblem On A 64'? It Looks Pretty Good, Bit It's Almost Too Bright...

i touched mine up with some cheap enamel, it was a bright red, really faded FAST.

I Thought About Going Over The Red With A Flat Clear To Dull It Out A Little & Protect It...

from what i have seen, i would assume rangoon red.

Repoped ones seem to be a brighter red but that may just be an illusion because of all the chrome around it.

I Would Have Used Rangoon Red If I Had Any Laying Around. I Had A Can Of Cardinal Red, It's Cheaper @ $7.99 A Can Vs The $27.00 For Them To Mix The Rangoon Red At Oreilly's. Actually The Cardinal Red Is Starting To Grow On Me. Looks Pretty Good In Fact....

Also pretty sure California Mustang sells it.
Pretty sure Duplicolor still makes it, just not carried in many retail stores. I know I've bought Rangoon Red touch up paint at Auto Zone, but that's been a couple of years.
All else fails, use "The Google".

I Didn't Tape Anything Off. Just Free-Hand With A Small Brush, It's Not Perfect by Any Stretch Of The Imagination....
