Newb with 1st 66 Flareside

Post by mikemann0 »

Just bought it last weekend , Drove it home kind of in pieces but it made it , Fresh rebuilt 76 302 and C6 I had to finish the install , Power disc brakes and Steering , seems to drive pretty well , I did all new fluids and tune up so far , none of the gauges were hooked up but all are functioning now , All the lights now work , I lowered it a bit with some rear spring removal (had 9) and cut 1 1/3 off the front coils , all new shocks and bushings , working on a red and black 2 tone scheme and new wood for the bed , Not a show truck but a cool cruiser , more to come.....http://i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j33 ... 350 miles is a llittle to far to drop in for coffee. I like your truck have it brother except with 351 cleveland, ex army was 240 I6 when I bought it the first time in 1976, built and painted black in 78, sold in 82, bought back in 88.
