Only reason he is checking it out is he knows that this is only the most reliable vehicle < Ford 4x4 >he can depend on that will deliver all the Christmas gifts around the world through snow/sleet/ice/rain/sunshine/dust storms,,, Go Big Red Go Big Red

If your truck 'starts hard' .... There's probably a reason
Fifty year old starter ?.... Yea, it might be pulling a lot of extra amps
Coil , points , cap , plugs in good condition ?
Good cables & wires ?
Last year we had some -10* below zero weather here ( that's cold for Kansas )
I would pull out the choke & crank
The 223 would fire instantly , push the choke in & adjust to fast idle
Walk back in the house , while it warmed up for five minutes
I know the new stuff will fire right up too.....
But who can work on that stuff ? ....not me
