Pate Swap meet

The big Pate Swap meet is April 24-27 this year. If you've never been, it is a bucket list item. We have about 25 spaces of nothing but Slick people, trucks and parts and at least 20 people that show up every year. If you haven't gotten your room reserved yet, you'd better get on it right away. I almost didn't reserve mine in time last year.
Purple Flying Monkey has the details where we're located.
The Houston gang usually (and will again this year) go up on Thursday afternoon the 24th and come back Saturday afternoon the 26th. Er ah, there are some hard cores that stay til Sunday.

The Pate meet (Slick Stock South) is a must-attend event. I missed last year for the first time in several years (due to financial embarrassment). I seldom buy anything of significance, but mostly go for the fellowship with my Slickster friends and the food outings to the local restaurants (Babe's Fried Chicken, The Snooty Pig, etc.)

Say Skip, is there going to be any incentive for the slicksters to drive their slick to Pate? The last year we did Pate at Cresson as TULSA TRUX we had two Rangers, a nice '66 SW Custom Cab, a '66 3/4 ton Camper Special with the bunk house on it and another off & on LW '65. That was on just four spaces! You know what the Good Guys say, "you've got to drive them."

Irl, how much incentive do you need for a pleasant road trip? Told Dale he is welcome to bring his as long as he gives me a three hour head start. No objections to being out-run; I just don't want to deal with all the "no gas available" signs in his wake!
The best incentive to bringing a slick IMO, is that I will have to be extremely careful at Snotty Pig, Babes, Sweetie Pies, etc., or I will be unable to drive mine!

You needn't worry Ol Shoestring will be there as will I. My question was aimed at the third coast contingency. Look is that a gauntlet on the ground?

I am thinking of coming to this swap meet this year. I understand it is huge. I like going to swap meets and meeting new people, plus maybe pick up something I need.
Anyway I was looking at their website and they have handicap and Motorhome parking on the west side on Rutherford road.
I am thinking of staying a couple of nights in my Motorhome and using my mobility scooter to get around the swap meet as I need it for walking long distances.
Is this a good place to camp, Is it on concrete or asphalt or gravel, and is the road paved so I can get in the swap meet grounds with my scooter.
Any and all input will be appreciated.

Since that is also the handicap entrance, I would expect it to be hard surface but don't recall it being paved. It certainly should be scooter friendly.
The good news is you will be entering near the Slick60's compound!
Hopefully, Chris or others will know more details; you might also email TMS for more specifics.

Thanks for the info. I have looked over the TMS website to get a feeling of the locations and their rules.
Where is the Slick60's compound spaces at? I got the maps of the grounds that shows the swap meet spaces.
I have some family in OKC and am trying to get my son to go as he lives there, and also working on a friend in Denver that wants to go.
Hopefully it all comes together and I can meet some of you.

Be sure to stop by my little compound, I'm about two rows straight North of the slicksters. This year look for a two tone white and rust '66 SW with a small camper on it. We always have a extra lawn chair or two scattered around and a easy-up for the afternoon when it warms up. Genarally speaking, I bring a ice chest as well.
We spoke about a year or so back about headliners. I still intend to plagiarize your stripe package, if you stop by maybe you could bring the deminsions plus or minus .125. Hope to see you there.

Will do, I remember our conversation, I am still not ready for headliner, but sure like yours if we can get it to fit unibody.
