Lowering shackles????

Can anyone tell me if the rear shackles and mounts are different on the 61-64 and the 65-66? I need to get my rear lowered about 2 inches to set up my angles. I cant find any lowering shackles for my 62. Any info would be appreciated.

No difference.I used the 65-66 ones under my 62 uni No problems.

I have always wanted to ask this ????

My logic tells me that in order to lower a truck by 2" in the rear the shackles would need to be about 4" shorter. Well I don't have 4" between the spring eye and the frame, so how is this possible? And the resulting pinion angle would be WAY off.

And since we are talkin lowering....I only started with 5" between the frame and the front springs on my Uni. I removed a leaf and this resuled in 2 1/2" of clearance. You guys are telling me that you drop the front 4". Again how is this possible?

I understand that there are other options but many people seem to do it this way

I guess I should of said front and rear of the rear spring kit.
About 2-5 inches.

I used the shacles only. You can also drill out the rivets on the front hangers and just move them up. My drop is slight, i might use Tim Fanatics method, depending on my ride, and remove some leafs from the rear too.
