Cab to frame mount

I have a 62 Unibody and noticed my from cab to frame mounts are in somwhat bad shape and I want to change them out soemwhat soon. Has anyone changed these out and what steps do I take. I checked out Dennis catalog and they have the bolts/cushions but i dont think they had the actual steel mount. Since I personally do not have a welding machine is this something I could do at a buddys house or do I need a pro. Iam sure I need to jack the body up but is that all I would have to do to cut out and re weld the new mount on or would i have to take the cab off?

not sure if those pieces are repopped or not.
i remember somebody making theirs and showing a pic with dimensions but it has been a while.

as to doing it without cab removal i think its possible if you are careful.regular cab you could pull the mounting bolts and have enough lift, but uni is the whole bed and cab so you wont get as much unless you remove all the mounting bolts.

yeah thats what I thought but I was hoping that if i removed the bushings and then jacked the cab only just a enough to cut the old mount out and re weld the new one in with the bushings and then re drop the cab onto the mount. I know it sounds simple in theory but wanted to see if anyone else has done it.

Carolina Classics sells them. They make them. I did not use these because I only had to replace a small portion of mine. I had the front cap off my uni and jacked the cab up just slightly and repaired mine. The link, description and pic is below.

Cool deal. Thanks alot. This must be a trouble spot since the rest of the truck is in great condition yet the mounts are in bad shape. Anywho well its on my favorites so I will be checking out this site quite often.
