64 Headliner

Post by hombre292 »

All,

New member here, from Indiana. Hello to all. I have a 1964 F100, custom cab. Need to clean my headliner. It's cream colored, and perforated. Anyone know the best way to clean it?? And can it be painted? Thank you for your help.

hello and welcome. lots of choices for the headliner depending on its condition and your budget.
new ones can be bought.see the links page.
several members have made their own.
they can be painted. mine turned out good.i cleaned it carefully with a degreaser first just the painted side and let it dry real good.

I took mine down and glued on it fabric that matched the texture and color of my recovered seat. I then glued sound deadener to the metal roof before reinstalling the liner - a job that takes three arms by the way.

welcome to the club
