Lazer Cut Slicks

Post by Truckrat »

Here is a cool little item we found courtesy of Tom and Kathy at Pate. There was a booth selling these and they bought one of them and showed us at our booth spaces. They are made of what appears to be 14-16 guage steel, powder coated, and set in a wood block for display purposes. They are 12-14 inches long and 4-5 inches high and sell for $20. Tom had one painted a silver color, but the one I saw at the booth was blue like these pictures. After talking a few minutes to Jeff Parker who makes these, I found out we can get these for less if we want them without the wooden blocks, and in bare steel. If we order 25 or more, we can get them for 8 bucks each. My idea here was to sell them for 10 bucks each, and donate 2 dollars from each one to the Slick Stock 2010 account. I figure Darrell and Robbin could use the help, and for every 25 of these sold, I can send them $50. Also, by ordering them bare steel, members can paint them any way they want and make them match their trucks' paint scheme. So......who wants some and how many? I will have to check and see what it will cost to mail them, but I would think it would be minimal. They aren't that heavy. Maybe Jeff can weigh one for me and I can check on it with the USPS. TR

Hmmm! Gary I couldn't figure out what I would do with one, so didn't buy one at Pate. Now I'm wondering how one would look over my garage doors? Wonder if they would make one double the size? And, of course it would have to be RED! Do you have contact info?

Jeff will probably make anything we want, but I'm pretty sure it would have to be a custom order. I'm sure we can get a price cut if we order enough of each style.

Hmmm, Mother's Day is coming up. I was a Pate on my wife's birthday, so I need to make it up to her someway. Perfect gift!

Lazer Cut Slicks

Post by Truckrat »

I think if we could send Jeff a couple of side views of a Unibody and a Crewcab, he could probably make them. I will see what I can do about that and go from there. As for orders for the ones I already posted, I need 25 in order to place the first order. My mailing address is....
1013 N.E. 10th, Moore, Oklahoma 73160. As soon as I get orders for 25, I will send them off to Jeff. TR

I remember seeing a page somewhere that showed side view line drawings of all the Ford truck body styles (and fronts I believe). Does anyone know where that is? Could be helpful to get the various body styles laser cut.
