I have a 65 and a 66. Both tanks originally the same as the truck. I have not seen a silver or black one.

Shouldn't the background of the fender badges be red? Custom touch? And were dual tanks an option?

It certainly is in beautiful shape, and I can't spot any glaring errors to suggest that it's not original. For instance, the paint on the steering wheel is intact, and the bed floor appears to be in excellent condition, as opposed to some so-called originals that have shiny paint on a badly dented floor. It wouldn't surprise me if it's had a repaint at some point in its life, but if it is a restoration then it's a very meticulous one.

Interesting story too. If it's true then the old fellow would have been retired at around age 55 when the truck was purchased (2008 - 1966 = 42 years, and 97 years - 42 years = 55 years). Must have had a good gig!

I'd like to have that "Caution" tag... :lol:
