Michelle, no I'm not a member yet, I should probably sign up though. The Vancouver Island chapter puts on a great show every year in Duncan BC. This year was at the Forest Museum so everyone got to ride around all day on the steam train if they wanted. This was the first year I've had something fixed up nice enough to bring to the show. Lots of nice trucks were there this year, mine the only slick though. I really like the variation you see at a truck show, very few are the same (except all the '49-'54 Chevs you always see) and there are quite a few guys up here that have restored logging trucks. I really have to hand it to the folks like you who preserve the big trucks, you need alot of space at home to look after them properly. In most cases these trucks were thoroughly abused during their working days and it is so nice to see them after people undertook the huge task of bringing them back to life. A 50s convertible that has been babied its whole life is nice to see, but when you go to a truck show you discover such oddball trucks its amazing they survived. Lots of different brands of trucks you never knew existed.

ATHS is a great organization. I am the South Texas Reginal Vice President and board member. There are a lot of guys in the North West and in the BC area that are very much into the big trucks. I was very lucky to find my truck. It was a southern truck and never went north, so it was a rust free truck. It was however in much need of attention, it had been rode hard and put away wet so to speak. When it comes to body work I have to have it done as I know nothing about it, the mechanicals are not a problem to me, so I am not scared to tackle the project as long as the body is fairly straight. I am putting my 56 big window up for sale and I plan n buying a slick and hopefully I will have it ready and painted by show time this time next year. I can tell you that there will be several big slicks at Slick Stock next year. I have some friends in Iowa that are bringing theirs as well as my truck. BTW, I love your truck with the period camper on it. I bought a new 72 F250 Camper Special in 72 and almost bought an Eldorado camper.
