That's a brave thing to admit around here, on your first post.
Welcome aboard.

Welcome to the board, maybe someday you can get a real motor for your slick.
And yeah to some of us it matters just a little bit. Some people don't mind their dogs and cats breeding each other either.

I understand some building the brand Xs as they have no knowledge of Fords or how to build them. Just another easy way out. One day when they mature the truck can be saved and a Ford driveline can be installed. If you are a BBC guy, you should read this. You will be enlightened.

Welcome Ruthanne, glad to see you found the Slick 60's. Guys, I have told her about the SBC! She has finished her truck after her husband passed away. I have posted some photos of the wood bed Bruce Horkey made for her truck. In her defense, she had her choice between the Uni or his Corvette.

We're not going to run her off because of that. We will probably kid her quite a bit though.
Remember, like we say in Texas, if you're going to post here and dish it out, you gotta be able to take it as well

.
I'm proud to know she kept the
Uni and that she finished it her way (probably because she just didn't know any better).
Just like a couple of others here that have strayed from the true path, she might have the wrong motor, but we still love her.
El Polako and Cactus Jack from Freeport, Texas are prime examples.... did I miss anybody else?
Nice trucks, terrible motors.
Ohmaneeepadmehummmmmm...................
You guys with brand X just have to drive at the back of the line......
Again, welcome and don't forget, real men (and women) drive straight axle trucks.

No problem Skip, the only problem is the "line" will have to catch me first!
I am comfortable with my choices,

63 Uni with sbc

Well, the rest of the story is... sbc was already in it, I just added nice stuff, wood bed, tonneau custom, etc. I enjoy it and it's fun to drive, what more can you ask for? I get razzed all the time from my fellow club members, doesn't bother me a bit.

Trucklady, enjoy your truck. Just glad to see people involved in the hobby, strength in numbers. Stay active and aware.
Hey Jim, since the 460 you suggested they test in the Big Block shoot out is actually a 514, maybe they should have used this
THIS big block.

That would be fair to middlin' competition for the 514.
