I can't believe Black Gold has never been posted up on this board. It is one of the longest running jokes in this club, along with the saffron robes and nude sandblasting. I can't even find a pic of on Google.
Maybe someone finally remodeled it out of it's misery. I sure hope so, and yet... well I MISS the old gal

Dropped beams on that truck with the huge wheels? Hmm. It still sits high lol. I meant the first red truck with the back bumper shaved up above more. I think it is one or two pics down from the low black one with the shaved rear bumper. I think that guy probably has MII because it's lower than just 3 inches.

Thanks for the thumbs up. She has been 2 years in the making and had parts come in from all 4 corners of our great countries.

Should be on the road by spring.
The dash was redone by
www.cvvacuumplaters.com out of Mission, BC here in Canada. It cost about $200 by the time it was done, that included the trim rings, bezel plating, and lens polish. Gauges are all autometer traditional chrome. Definately recommend these guys. didn't know what to expect so I kept my good bezel at home and sent them a real poor one. Boy, I was amazed at what they did.
BTW, for you guys south of the 49th, they have a US mailing address so there is no duty charges.

That's good to know.
Thanks for the referral. I was going to try Mr. G's initially, but had heard some bad feedback about them lately, so I thougt I'd wait.
I think I'll send one of mine in this summer!

This is a sweet thread. I do feel sick for that Green slick with shag carpet!
I love the look of the 4x4 slick. may do a conversion one day if I cannot find one down here. Would really love to have one of those Mercurys, never see them in the south. Never knew about them until I got this dang computer!

You're welcome, JC.

I guess I didn't seize up anyone's computer with all those pics...or maybe it's burned so bad that they can't log back on!

Well, if that's the case, you should check out these threads too!

I own the last Red Slick posted in the series by SlickFan. It is my daily driver. There are some very nice trucks shown. Thanks for posting all of these for inspiration.

I gotta say I'm not a fan at all of the lowered slicks, BUT, that red one with the chopped top and scoop looks downright mean
I also dont like the crew cabs, but the rock crawler is pretty darn cool as well.

Also, I think you just completely changed my color scheme I had planned, and made up my mind to do something I had been pondering for a while now.

Ummmm i only see 5 slicks that I counted???
Of course I only count Uni's as slicks. I mean if there is a break between the cab and the bed I just can't consider that a slick

That 2nd last one is the Overhaulin' one.
BTW, I hear Overhaulin' is DONE, they didn't renew the contract to do it again next year.
Man that red uni with the chrome header panel on the grille is a GORGEOUS colour..... drool...

Slickfan....I finally posted some pics to my profile...that's the truck I bought. I think it had been on escam a couple times and it didn't meet the reserve so I contacted the guy and we made a deal. I still paid too much for it and being my first classic vehicle purchase I didn't notice the cover up repairs that had been done. It's mine now and I am making it mine and making it a solid daily driver.

These are from various internet swipes I've done, some may be from this site before I joined, so pardon in advance if I swiped someone's pic here. I'm pretty sure this 1st one is, but I love this shot!
Yup, thats my truck

That pic was taken by the previous owner at the burnout contest at Texas Heatwave. He's got a video of it posted somewhere too, I'll have to find the link.

Oh, gotcha. I had a different truck in mind completely.
That truck looks sweet, congrats!!

Awesome, looks like a great truck!
Do you keep it limbered up by practicing burnouts? hehe

I agree, I'm a total sucker for that paint color.

Here's a couple more of that one...
Including the most common "optional Slick door opening device".
I'd drive this!
Here's someone's idea that took a hard left turn somewhere along the line.
This idea looks like it stayed on it's original heading...yup.
