Yea the whole spider cap thing stinks. I purchased mine from Coker but have since found that speedway motors sell the same for less.
Check them out if you decide to buy them.
What color to paint my wheels?

Well, I went with silver/argent. I didn't stop to think about how that would look with hubcaps the same color - which is not very well. It all sort of blends together. I will redo the wheels in off-white, like stock.
Something I noticed. At some point a few years ago I wound up switching a pair of 66 wheels with the 71 wheels. The 66 wheels are heavier, and seem to be cruder in construction, such as the lip of the rims have about an 1/8" "jog". Plus the center section is riveted to the rim. No marks identifying the supplier that I could find, but do have the Ford stamp.
The 71 wheels are a bit lighter, have a better look to them. centers welded to the rim. They are stamped KELSEY - HAYES, along with a Ford stamp.
I'll download the photos and see if any of what I wrote shows up in the pics.

Still haven't uploaded the photos. Finally repainted my wheels wimbledon white, came out decent I think. Tore the bead area on a couple of tires, so now I got to dig up a couple replacements.
I am on the look out for a couple of spare rims as well.
