yep Grits,
Like those little elfs that work in the dark at Disney so the little kiddies can have a magical time the next day,
I'm the big elf that laid the bricks, smooth out the black top, sorted out the seating and helped post the signs.. this way to PATE!
then they kick me back home so I can't see all the fun going on

Max, you sneak! Never knew you were sneaking pics of BT and me. Great bunch of pics, you have a great eye for finding the character of things, like my Margarita cup with the hole in the bottom!

 A lamp shade!, must of been Art Deco! or the industrial era of home decorating!, it`s sand cast cast iron!, you`d need a lamp stand made out of an old 9" axle to hold the bugger up!
I wont even ask what Lyman was rolling!, a coffee table would be my guess after seeing that lamp shade!

You're right! I zoomed in on it and saw the bolt holes that secure it to the ground. There were actually quite a few of those around the swap meet that were selling for a pretty penny - $350+.

Good eye!

And Lyman found a spare for his Slick in his preferred 42" rim size. That's how he rolls.

Alan...I believe that is a cover plate for Park and View...it was a service offered to truckers years ago that provided them with access to cable tv and a phone line. They were well built pieces because they were placed on the ground(bolted down) between parking spaces and were designed to withstand trucks running over them on a daily basis. I could be wrong of course...but its the same color yellow and the same size and looks to have four holes located around the sides to plug into.
