Funny how pictures can deceive. That little shorty appears to be straight and a decent start. Can't save 'em all. Plus that bed will be a useful piece to live on with another slick.

lol. ever notice how digital pics can make a bad car look good and a good car look bad?
this is the former. all the rust spots you see on the bed sides are perforations. she be rusty! but the frame will be getting a crown vic cross member and a new lease on life. i think he is going to try and put my old 66 cab on the 64 frame. should be interesting.

Looks like the door trim holes were "used". Don't suppose you have any of the panel trim pieces knocking around? Still searching for drivers side "C" piece to finish our puzzle.

nope. i've never had my hands on any 63/64 trim. i do have a friend that has a complete set in nice shape for sale, but he wont separate.

That rear bumper that's on the truck. Was that a factory option or aftermarket? Mine has the same exact bumper.

not factory that i am aware of, but probably a locally sourced dealer installation.

Hoo boy, been a member for one day and already someone has helped solve one of my problems. I too have the gap at the steering wheel on my 64 shortie and FINALLY someone has given me a hint on what to do. Thanks. I'll be checking that in the morning.

MAn my heart raced when I saw those wheels thinking Ah heck yhea maybe just maybe, and the epic failure when I saw you where gonna keep them, and the hunt continues..... MAn I would trade my really cool aluminums 
for a good set of inny rims...

Woo hoo!!!! Problem with steering wheel gap solved. Loosened the bracket under the dash, found the rubber was dried out and crumbly, made a new piece from a rubber mat, moved the housing up and now all is well. Good on ya mates for teaching me this.
