As for the auto shutoffs not working, I had a nozzle come out of the filler tube once and spray me with gas. Never again does my hand leave the nozzle.
only Chevy I ever owned. A 78 Camaro.
The nozzle popped out while I was leaning against the back bumper.
Sprayed my ass with about 2 qts of gas and filled one shoe.
I remember driving home at about 100mph 3" above the seat because my
buns felt like they were on fire.
