I was really hoping to go to the show this year. My 65 truck is so close to being done but not quite, and i had just started a new job running a fab shop. I havnt had the time to go down there.. But has anyone been to the F100 show in June? I may be able to go down for that show. Anyone know how it compares to the supernats??

I just got home from Pigeon Forge. What a great show! RacerX- thanks for the pics. GDG - My truck is on Mustang 2 from TCI. Whoever said Navajo Beige gets the prize.

We had a great time visiting with other Slick enthusiasts and taking-in the sights, over 700 registered vehicles! It was good to see Tom since I needed a couple small parts. Traveling all the way to TN is a major undertaking, but I'm pretty sure I will be back next year. Although I didn't intend or expect it, we even brought home a trophy!

I also just got home from the show. It was awesome. Got to catch up with some old friends and see some really nice rides. Even meet some Slick members.

Travis, I have been to the show in June the last 2 years in a row and have every intention of going again this year. It's a pretty good show but nowhere as big aa the super nats. I took some pics also but it looks like you guys have all of them covered.

64low-n-slow, what did you win? Your truck looked real good. I talked to the guy with the laid out 64 with the wide whites and he said that he took home 61-66 custom.

Hopefully next year mine will be there. Still got a long way to go though.

As Red said the June show has less in attendance but the feel of the show is a lot better. Everyone for the most part hangs out and visits without the huge crowd. If you ever attended the Chimney Rock show over in Lake Lure N.C. (miss it) it is put on by the same group. Good times.

They are also now having a show in Townsend in September that is put on by True Blue Trucks Magazine. They had the first one last year with a fair turn out (rain) and the second is scheduled for this year on September 16-17. It has the same feel as the June show in my opinion. Tennessee has some great Ford truck shows!

Thanks for posting these pictures. Makes me enjoy mine more, and might even inspire me to paint mine!

Those are awsome.

That is some great motivation to get my project moving faster.

Always fun seeing the different styles and getting ideas.

Red -They gave out multiple "Best in Class" trophys for each class. There were 50 awarded for the '53-'56 Custom class. I also got one in 61-66 Custom. Not sure how many they gave for Slicks, but there were not as many as 53-56.
