Rangers are rare. Shortbox Rangers are REALLY rare. Rangers in that gorgeous , one year only colour scheme are even more rare. and , to top off all that rarity, it's just pretty!!

JC
are you sure about the one year only color scheme? i had a 64 shortie cc that was raven black with the rangoon red acccents just like 66org-ranger's truck exept my carpet was red and the seat was a crazy red/black/white checker pattern, but other than that and the ranger option, it was identical. i can't prove it as the truck has long since past, but i thought the color scheme was the best combo i had ever seen in an old truck and i'm glad to have seen another almost like it in this thread.

BTW VERY nice truck!

My truck has carpet that covers the tank, I don't think the 66 model had the fiberglass cover over the tank?

I'm pretty sure the raven black and red combo was available in 64,65 & 66. I have pictures of a 65 CC swb with that color combo.
Take care

Wally, good to see you made it over here. I remember drooling over your truck when I first seen it a few years ago back on the old site. Your interior helped inspire me to keep mine as stock as possible too, except for the "rare" Hurst option that mine has.

I think it was club member GregD that told me it was a one-year only combo, as it's his fave. I looked at the colour charts and black isn't even on them for 64,65, or 66 ....so who knows? LOL
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..
