find a small gas tank off a lawn mower, they work great to run the engine while you are working on it. I have a couple of them stashed around here that I have used many times

Assuming you're talking about a '03+ Crown Vic, they get huge variations in camber at anything other than a pretty specific predetermined ride height. You can also run into tire/ wheel well opening clearance issues if you're tucking the tire and steering. That's probably why you don't see many of them bagged, especially in earlier trucks. It's a great option for some, but not the the best if you want to go low/ bagged IMO. If it's a '02 or earlier, ignore all of that.
If you're going to use Crown Vic parts, I'd suggest using the entire Crown Vic frame and rebuilding the body mounts and step area. You can start out a few inches lower than you can by just putting the K-member under the truck rails and you get a much stiffer platform.

Thanks for the comments, the lawn mower gas tank is a great idea. As for the crown Vic swap, if I go that route it would be a full frame swap. I can't make my mind up, I have the camaro clip waiting to be picked up but also came across the crown Vic. When I get to that point I will decide. I have been researching as much as possible on both sides. Even looking on camaro and crown bic forums lol.

I just recently started my 66 build. I chose the crown vic route. I started a build thread on s10forum. I am bagging the vic and 4 link bagged in the back.

Just to give you a little reference and what not.

Ok, I haven't forgot about the truck. Still working bugs out on the sedan. In the mean time I had to go to the dmv and get the title since they lost the original, got that done and just got back the new one signed over to me. Even though I had the truck I didn't want to start any major work until it was in my name. It's game on now though and hope to have some progress to show in the next few weeks.
Plans for the truck
1. Camaro front clip
2. Accuair e level
3. Vintage air setup
4. Most people will not like this but it's getting a 5.3 ls with 4l60e
5. Whitewalls
6. Satin paint
7. Little bit of interior work

Well haven't had anything to post lately, mainly have been pb blasting all the bolts on the truck for tear down. The subframe my buddy had was a bust, it looked like it had been wrecked pretty good at one time. So I have been trying to track one down and finally picked it up tonight. It has the control arms and some other parts with it but it had been disassembled and blasted. Should be able to get something going shortly.
