ABA.
I will be using the Rod Doors unit too.
I glued the aluminum backed rag insulation to the roof of my truck. My suggestion is just leave a bare space around the insulation where it would meet the roof seams to keep it from collecting moisture. I live in Houston and I haven't had any problems with moisture yet.
If you're worried about the rag style insulation, places like Lowe's and Home Depot sell a bubble wrap style insulation but it doesn't deaden sound like the heavy stuff.
I use liquid nails on mine and it holds like iron.
BroncoTom and I are at odds about which side to glue to the top. He says the uncovered side, I say the aluminum foil side to the outside gets the glue.
I'm right of course...... :D but you could get the double sided stuff if you want to pick nits.
Have fun.

BroncoTom is right. (sorry skip) The foil side goes on the inside...
ie if in the cab you should see foil.

That style of insulation was not intended for the roof.

Infact that is the last place to do any insulation, not that it shouldn't be done, just make sure you do the other stuff first.

Take a look at my headliner in my pictures area. I used one of the big corragated election signs for it. I made my on clips from stiff copper wire and formed it into a "S" shape and put it in the front of it. IT hooks over the metal where the orginal clips were. That way it holds good and you can't see them. I slid them in the middle of the corragated part. I covered it with suede leather. I am really happy with it and it is holding up great.

I insulated under the headliner. Don't know if it was the right thing to do or not, but I did. Helps with the noise level. I live in a pretty dry part of the world and the truck gets little or no rain, so moisture did not cross my mind.
