eewww.....I don't think the rear door would work right with the forward lean of the hinge edge. You could suicide them?

not a crew but I like this better

You're right....making that rear door on the 4 door work properly would be a challenge. I think the basics of it looks better though. I'd still add another 8-10 inches behind the rear wheel.

The 2 door bronco version looks like a 60's bronco concept ready for production. The changes required for the shortened rear doors on the 4 door would keep me from ever trying it. Definitely looks the part of most modern day SUV proportions though.

Bluebolt: Those rear doors look huge! I bet the rear passengers get in an out easier than the driver! Also, you got a pm from me.

Yeah, Grits, I know that's the way they were built but to me they look like Ford was only thinking utility when they put that together without any regard for design or style. Looks like they just tacked on an extra cab and left it at that. If you compare with the crewcabs of today you can see they designed them to be a 4 door truck so the front and rear doors blend together like they were meant to be there. So, it seems like if he's going to go to the trouble to make a Slick SUV then it would be cool to really put some thought into all aspects of the design & proportion, including the doors. JMHO. Otherwise, he could just weld a snugtop on it and call it a day! LOL!

I thought that's what I said: "Guess if you're going to modify and build a back cover, you may as well go all the way and redesign the doors."

I wouldn't mess with your original concept too much. I see what randy is saying comparing it to a modern SUV but you have to think 1966. IMHO, the cool way to do this is so period correct that everyone who sees it asks where you found it not how long it took to build if you get my meaning. Remaining close to your original proportions will pull that off better plus, it has a ton of character!

You all know you gots me thinkin now eh! I could take my supercab cab and one of my crewcab cabs and mate em! I could cut the supercab at the door opening and then cut the back of the crewcab off and mate em up, only hard work would be to make the wheel opening.

i like the first concept no windows in the back keep it short slam it on the ground and black primer and red wheels with white walls would look great
