Course the "Deal With the Devil" title of this post probably didn't help.
heh I was feeling bad too til I thought about that too

Plus the fact that he doesnt seem to be upset, and that he asked our opinion. One of those things where if you dont want to know the answer to a question, dont ask. I've learned that one the hard way over the years :bangin:

LOL They seem to be of the mind that if we are not with them we are against them. Unfortunately that is a self fulfilling mindset as those you exclude become your enemy. Hawkrod
You are of course right also, we do have free speech in this country. I just didn't want to bash FTE generally because it isn't the fault of the members over there. After all if we take that tact we would have to lay the blame partially on JC and others who peek in there. I am quite sure no one here intended to cost Dwight anything. I would guess that he kinda knew what he may be getting into posting the question here, he has been around for awhile. They have just proved you (and alot of us) right though Hawkrod by pulling the offer from Dwight based on what the rest of us have said. Guess Dwight has been found guilty by association by Ken, kinda immature I think.

i stand behind what i said, and i do not feel sorry.

i do not think any of us cost Dwight money, he was not banking on a big check, otherwise he would have sold it to them and not asked the rest for their opinion, which by the way is rather well known and if it isnt then you have not spent as much time here or know what kind of garbage goes on at fte as some of the rest of us.

i do not believe in sugar-coating things, an opinion was asked for and was given.if you dont like it too bad, you had your chance to give yours too.

I could care less what anyone in charge from fte says or does , in fact they would be very happy if we and fordification disappeared off the web.

they could not write as good an article or they would not have asked to buy Dwights.

JC, you say you would be pi$$ed if it was you, it is your right to feel that way.

fte could offer me a gold plated 427 and i would tell them to put it where the sun dont shine. mention slicks or fordification over there and you will feel the heavy hand of censorship hit you and you think we should be nice to them?

Lance and Keith started free sites, let everybody join and never asked for a dime.people give Keith $ to help run his site but they dont get special treatment and he does not sell space to anyone.its all donations and his spare time.his site continously has improvements and there is a lot of tech and info there to look at for everyone who wishes.
meanwhile we are going to argue about some worthless garbage like fte instead of having a cup to throw in a few $ for a better site, or selling some t-shirts to help with the bills and trying to work towards having a big color id page for all the slick differences, accessories and modifications.

i am starting to get too hot under the collar, i gotta go for a while and cool off.

Ice, Lance insists that this site be free. He ain't around much but his influence is felt. He and I had a discussion once in chat about how we don't like clubs, and especially don't like clubs that charge dues, and so I see eye to eye with the guy. I think Jimdog foots the bill for this site, out of the goodness of his heart, and his ability to do it relatively inexpensively from his work at Columbia U. I am sure Matt and Kid can get a pool going for those that want to throw in for "whatever", just who decides what that "whatever" is?

i agree with Lance's idea too.i never advocated charging anything.i dont think its right.the fordification auctions are done by those who wish to donate and can afford to do so.i dont care who gives or not, it doesnt make any difference to me at all.big difference between helping out and being charged in my eyes.

whatever is whatever you want not based on anybodys decision but on the spare change you may be able to afford to do without to help.i would hope no one ever counted it or kept a list of who did or did not or had any expectation other than helping the one paying for us to have a place to go.

stick up for your friends and help them out is the way i like to be, not charge them money for extras and tell them who they can mention or link to on a website.

Hey Dwight didn't do himself any favours with that title.
But if you rip me off or over charge me or run up the price on something I am interested in or just for fun, by Geez I will NEVER forget you. I will crap in your nest every time I get a chance to, too.
FTE never took me for no money.

but
UPS did
Roddoors did
My body man did
Imalooker did
Custom Classic Trucks did

You might have heard me mention these jerks before.
and you certainly will again.
and that's what I mean by being p!$$ed.

But that's the way I roll.

I have had way too much fun reading and posting in this thread. I think that makes me a trouble maker at heart, but I shall behave for the moment! LOL Thanks, Lyman.

I am really not trying to stir up trouble in any way, but I would like to know who imalooker is. If theres a member on here that has screwed over another member, I'd like to know who to steer clear of.

Again, not trying to cause trouble, I'd just like to know who's who and who I should trust and who not to.
