I got the frame painted and ready for things to start getting back together... and this is only the beginning!!... lol

It's almost been a month since I last posted. But it's also been a month since I've had time to work on this..lol

I got the front and rear end back on after being coated with rust encapsulator and painted. Now I need to start putting things back together(If I remember how)..and I think I got my I-beams on correctly this time..lol. Here are some pics:

I have now completed my brake lines and mounted my new motor mounts for the 460.. Bought a Double Flaring Kit and learned how to flare my lines.. Check it out.. Let me know what you all think. I got the new Prop Valve and mounted it where I thought the best place was. I hope this won't be in the way of anything. All comments are welcome..

Thank you for the compliments. It has been a lot of work (a lot of money) but has been worth it. I'm kind of at a stopping point as I don't know what to do next...lol. I am trying to get my cab corners off so I can get the new ones welded but can't seem to find an easy way to do this. Might have to break down and just buy a spot welder drill bit.

Anyway, I am still thinking of putting the gas tank in the rear somewhere but am still undecided. So I got my frame done, my brakes done, what do you recommend I do next? Gas tank? engine? Cab?

On the gas tank issue ... I put a gas tank in the back for a few years (for safety reasons), but then moved the original tank back in the cab. I did it since it was much easier to fill up the tank and I figure if it's my time to go then so be it. Thats my

Yeah I'm thinking the same thing almost. It's been there almost 45 years and is obviously not burned or hasn't killed anyone. In my 28 years I have never even heard of an issue with the gas tank in the cab. Maybe I've been blind to it but somebody fill me in if I'm wrong. LOL.

Thanks Ollie for the input and you may have just helped me kept it original.. We'll see how I feel about it tomorrow. haha

Thanks again for all the comments. I just removed the old cab mounts yesterday but upon doing this, the floor panel is rusting through and needs to be filled. I've never done this before so I need to see what sheetmetal to use (any help?) and see if I can get this part of the build done. I guess welding will be my new hobby to learn..LOL.

I'll update as soon as I have more done. We just bought a new house so everything is now moved over to the new garage and the bed is laying on the frame but not bolted on.
