Ok working with the new EZ Wiring harness and have got to the ignition switch.

No markings on the back anywhere. Anyone else have this broken down as to what hooks up to what? Or point me in a direction?

Thanks
CK

G`day sofla, I`ve been looking back through my build notes and have so far come up with the following!, I hope you still have the plug for the switch as this will come in handy! on page 10 it has the conversion chart, the colours on the right hand side are the wires coming from your old ignition switch, the colours on the left side are the new kits colours. below is for a painless wiring kit, I didn't read your post as well as I should have  but I left it there as an example, I think I need another beer! :?

wire colour from plug..............wire colours in kit.........cable numbers
red-green stripe ....goes to pink coil ignition .... #931
red-blue stripe .....goes to purple ignition switch start... #919
pole connects to brown accessry #932
yellow..... goes to red ignition switch+...... #934

I have the plug but it is dry rotted - so I cut it up and following you and my EZ wiring book came up with this. What is the extra connection for that I have labeled as WIRE 1?

Thanks for the help.

The only one I can see that isn't hooked up is the pink, coil positive, the colours are the same as the painless kit. I`ll stick my head up under Lenore's dash this morning and see what I did there, it must be right it works! LOL

I found my other switch and it does not have the extra connection (WIRE 1) - my guess it looks like a tab that connects to the pole for accessories.
I should be good to go on all the others - 4 connections and 4 wires on my EZ kit. Again thanks for the help. CK

The 12ga. red wire with the yellow connector is the battery supply. The small red is on the acc stud ., the yellow is attached to the coil terminal, and the blue wire is hooked to the crank terminal.

do a search on" ignition switch fiasco"...second page 10 down
a lot of good help depending on your wiring loom.

mine was same set up as yours and i made a short wire harness with three or four wires to each lug except your number one. trust me it will be well worth it when you start hooking things up

if you turn your switch up side down my slashes will match your picture (1 wire on lower right)

top left goes to starter
top right goes to the on position (switched power out)
center post goes to accesories
bottom goes to power in
not sure about the outside lug unless it's a ground????

if you have any questions send me a pm.

If you have a multimeter you can check for continuity between poles while turning the switch the the various positions. I have used this method on a couple different igintion switches as it is the only definitive way.
