What I've been up to... In pictures

I tried to post this last night but the forum died on me. Glad it's back up.
Here it is now:
Since it's been a while since I've been around, I thought I would update a little on what I've been up to.
I finished my shop about a year ago. I think I posted about it when I was building it. It's only 20x40 at the moment.

I was going to kick it out another 60 feet for an 80x40, but I have that on hold right now and just going to pour this bay and put a lean-to on it.

also a shot with my 71 Bumpside in it. It's become my main truck.

Here's an even better shot of it:

Here you can see how far I was going to expand the shop. I even prepped the site for it. It would have gone extended out to that old Hough loader, which incidently broke down in the midst of the prep-work, with a bearing exploding and wheels flying everywhere. This was only one hour after I had just finished a 2 week repair on one of the cylinders that snapped off. (2 weeks of running around and waiting for parts)

More shots of the broken down hough, and the shop stove I acquired for the winter cold.

A shot of one of my sheet metal brakes. This is my newest one. Not as heavy as my 8' Chicago, but at least this one is 10 foot.

After I got tired of the 10 to 12MPG of my bumpside as a daily driver, I broke down and bought a '98 BMW 323is. I felt queasy as this was my first non-american vehicle, but I figured I like european sports cars and would buy one, so what's the difference? I average around 32MPG and my best was 37MPG. I'm happy with it.

Along the way I bought and had fun and harrowing experiences on a fun little 16' Hobie Cat.

First I bought this one though, which turned out to be more work than I wanted to mess with. You can also see another Bump and Slick next to it.

Another toy that I've wanted for a loooong time and finally managed to justify getting, and it's my pride and joy:
2001 Ducati 996. I go out and hug it every night before bed. Okay not every night, but sometimes I do.

I also got a fun little early 80s Honda GL500 watercooled V-twin in trade for one of my slightly less nice bumpsides. It's not beautiful but it's fun for cruising. Sorry, no pics of that yet.
I live next to my father, and we share a lot of our tools and equipment. That's his Hough that's broken down, which we have some forks for and primarily use to move around our none-running vehicles. Since it's down we went and got this beast!

That weight on the back is full of lead.
Here it is next to my 3/4 ton Bumpside for scale:

I've been using it and our old Ford backhoe for some prep-work for my house site, which isn't as much of a priority as my shop right now.

So there you have it folks! Some of what I've been up to in the past year or so that I've been away
