Slick 60's

hey guys i hope this is in the right place. my name is Glen and i am the future owner of phils white 62 slick. i am excited to get working on it over the winter i have a ton of questions and i have already been researching all over this forum. the only thing that i plan on doing is lowering the crap out of it and putting a set of wheels on it. i love the "weathered" body lol. i plan to fix the rust i have to for the structural areas but i want to keep the body as is. here are a few pictures of my other vehicles.

Welcome, Glen! I happen to like both older Fords and EG Hondas. The S2K looks cool, too!
I just sold my EG with JDM B18C that I used for track events so I could fund my addiction to slicks. Slicks are so simple mechanically, they are fun to work on, instead of a hassle! For the most part, folks on this site enjoy hearing about your slick, and less about your imports, but we will be polite about it. Good Luck with your new project! About the Hondas, at least it wasn't a chevy!

My wife and both of my kids drove them for a while. My son bought a 93 Civic hatchback in 02 for 1000 drove the wheels off of it four years then sold it within minutes of posting it for sale for 1500. My daughter bought a 93 prelude at the same time but at a bit more in price. It is still in the family but rarely driven these days. We bought a new Civic EX in 01 for my wife, she was driving 100 + miles a day ( her mother was in a nursing home and her father lived 25 miles away in the opposite direction and could not drive) the Honda served very well. My daughter drive it now down in the big city of Atl. I must say the S2000 is sweet!

Not a fan of rice rockets but the S 2000 has some class - those are a true sports car.
Sounds like you have some cool plans for the Uni. I see where you are coming from but you might want consider a more traditional tire/wheel package - you might learn to like it (no offense intended). Glad to have you here and we'll be glad to help.

well I drive a hyundai as a DD, it's plain and boring, but does what I need at the right price and the right safety. needs outweighed loyalty, but I can't wait for 2010, it will be slick time

Welcome from Gettysburg, PA! I've got a 92 Accord station wagon which is my daily driver. Great car. This is a great group of people who are very knowledgable and helpful with old Ford Trucks. Good to have you along for the ride.

hahaha i have felt torque before. just nothing i have owned. lol the truck with the black hood is a ranger. it is the project that will never be done. it is bagged and body dropped, shaved and a ton more. the only reason for the hondas is because i got them for next to nothing. they are very reliable and the s2000 is our track car. i have to have thick skin with the style i have. i am used to it by now.
