Note of caution! If I'm not mistaken you will need to use a Clifford intake manifold (or other aftermarket) with these headers. Don't think you can use the headers with a stock manifold.

I believe it's the other way around. The factory exhaust manifold won't bolt up to a Clifford intake. It's a water-heated design and eliminates the exhaust heat riser. The Clifford website doesn't state that their headers won't work with a factory intake.

One would have to cap the heat riser hole in the bottom of the intake but it doesn't look like clearance would be an issue. Lack of carb heat could be an issue in cold climates, but that could be addressed with a water-heated spacer.

I'm sure you'd get the most benefit by switching to an aftermarket or fabricated intake anyway.

my clifford is not water heated.
either way the stock exhaust will not work with the clifford intake.
the headers may work with the stock intake, they look like it from the pic.

it is a good starting price but my issue is the same as Pats right now, lack of $.
its the economy, things have really slowed way down up here too.
most likely will have to use the stock setup for now.

I installed a similar set on my truck when the OEM one disintegrated. I fabbed a cover plate to cover the heat riser hole. I also had to use socket head bolts in a couple of places to clear the intake manifold when the hex head bolts had interference with the intake. I would sell mine but I would rather sell the motor/tranny setup complete or the truck complete.

dont have the extra $ so passing does not bother me.

a friend of mine may help with making my own headers, he has all the tools needed so all i would have to buy is the tubing and spend the time and trade labor.

very nice but it only fits the early heads w the rocker studs. i suppose you could convert to the old style studs and use it if you wanted.
