Don't know if this has been covered yet, but just some 411 for those of you wanting to re-seal the adapter plate and can't buy a gasket.
If you purchase an original style oil filter from NAPA, the canister base gasket that comes with it will fit behind the spin-on adapter plate perfectly.
It's rubber, so put it on dry with about 50 ft./lbs. of torque. Then spin your PH8A filter on.
Easy peasy no more leaky!
