Where to find rubber ash tray rubber bumpers?

Fellas,

I'm looking for the two, small rubber bumpers that are missing from the dash holes at the top corners of the ash tray opening on my '65 F250.
Not a big deal, but the cigar ash tray shakes & rattles too much!

They are black, round and about 1/4" in diameter.
I didn't see them listed in my DC catalog nor my NPD catalog.

Anyone know where I can locate some of these little bumpers?

If I can't locate some OE-style bumpers, I'll have to cut up some rubber and simply glue them in place....but I'd rather not do that if I can locate some OEM-style bumpers.
Even some used bumpers would be fine, but those that I've looked at in junkers were so hard & dried out that they'd break off trying to remove them.

Thanks in Advance for any & all help, Guys!

Dennis Carpenter has them for $5.00 but there's a minimum $10 shipping order, Ken

Ken,
Thanks for the reply! :thumright:
I couldn't make your link work for me, but I looked (again) through my catalog (the one with the red '66 on the cover) and I finally found them.
They were listed under, "Miscellaneous items, page 91, part# 359422-S. Cool..... :dancing:

As far as the minimum order deal - I can handle that as I'll likely also get a complete rubber bumper set for around my hood (I'm missing some now) and probably also get the replacement bumpers for at the tailgate-to-box too.
THANKS AGAIN!

I got mine at the junk yard, while scrounging I picked an assortment from glove boxes, ash trays, fuel tank doors. etc. Now I usually have one that will work when the need arises.
They are also very cheap!!

I found similar replacements at my local hardware store in those"Dorman" pull-out boxes, Also for the glove box door. Quicker, cheaper.

That's that mid year introduction that doesn't rattle over railroad tracks.

Thanks for all the replies and ideas, Fellas!! :thumright:

Doug,
As I mentioned earlier, my attempts to remove them from junkyard Slicks haven't been good because they would not come out without tearing them up.
I guess I should have been looking in newer trucks for some that might have been the same size.

Bird55,
DOH! oops.gif That is a good idea... why didn't I think of that? I will try to match up a set from my local parts store. :thumright:

Jason,
Easy, Dude...... your head may hurt in the AM, but you'll be fine!

Greg,
LOL!!

Thanks again, everyone!

I got mine at LMC. Got the ones for the glovebox too. Saved paying shipping charges by riding there in Mike Kimbrell's uni while Slickstock 3 was on

I had no success pulling them out of old trucks either. they would just crumble.

as much as i try to save and recycle the ashtray bumpers are about impossible to get out intact. i have much better luck with the glovebox ones but at the price they are best ordered new.

hey thats my right arm sticking out of Caseys truck in the pic
