does any of you guys know if ford offered a 300 iin a 78 4x4 f150?

Yes they did...Guy about 25 miles from me has a 78 4x4 swb all orig w/ like 50xxx miles that he has had for sale forever for way too much money.($17,500) Its a nice truck and it has the 300/4sp combo.

i'm going to run a 302 in mine i wonder if the perhswould work or do i need tofind some off a truckwith a 300in it?

I would say most of those trucks had a 351M or 400 in them in 78. I have no idea if a 302 was offered. I am positive the truck I mentioned above is factory stock w/ the 300. I'm sure someone will let you know if the 300 and 302 perches are the same.

they didnt offer a 302 in the 4wd models i knowthat much lol

The pearches are different if memory serves me the 302 perches are easy to find they are shorter that the 300 perches but they will bolt rigth up.

You will probably need perches from a 1977-1979 F150 with a 351M-400 to use with a 302.
