Slick 60's

Recently my truck was sitting still and idling and then just quit running. The engine is turning over but it's not getting any fuel. For as much as we were pumping the gas it should've flooded the engine. However it didn't, you couldn't smell any fuel.

My guess is that this is a Fuel Pump problem? Am I correct in my deduction? Could it possibly be a fuel filter just clogged?

I'm betting I'll just have to replace the fuel pump. Any suggestions on a good brand or good place to get a good quality one?

It could be a plugged filter but if you have my luck it is probably the pump. pull your fuel line before the filter and turn the truck over. Should be pumping gas. If not, I would replace the pump. just my

Anthony is probably right but I would still check the filter first just because its the easier fix.

First thing I would do is pull the fuel line at the carb and then have someone crank it over. If you've got fuel then it's the carb if not then go on to the filter or the pump. Before I would change the pump I would pull the fuel line and make sure that the line is not plugged. Just my thoughts.. Good Luck

If you are getting fuel to the carb you might want to check your accelerator pump on the carb.
I had this problem with mine just the other day. (Had a rip in it)

All the responses are correct. I had the same type of issues and a few times and we are all of the above at least once. Check pressure before AND after the carb. If its good there then its in the carb...fuel issues arent too hard to find.
