moved the fuel tank under the bed and installed a 15" steering wheel..like uncle skip said, it wasn't necessarily leg room but more like gut room, haha

i still don't see how removing the tank can give more leg room, unless you like to sit straight up. my seat back already hits the back of the cab under the window and i still have the in cab tank.

I put a split bench seat out of an 01 F-150 in mine. The backs of the seats are too thick and push you forward in the seat. They really are comfortable though.
I would prefer the seat out of my 95 F-350. The back is about half the thickness of the one now in my 63(01 F-150) seat.

I have never had any trouble with leg room, In fact I have the seat pulled part of the way forward.

I have the stock Ranger buckets and I have just enough leg room (I'm 6'2"). Michelle, are you talking about the bucket in your Ranger?

I have a stock seat in my truck and I'm 6-1. If I were going to change, I'd try the split bench seats out of an '03 Ranger. I have a Ranger and they're the most comfortable truck seats I've ever sat in. They are pretty low so you'd gain a lot of room.

have leather 60/40 from a late model cadillac. i`m 5`9in. no extra leg room. extremely comfortable seats and beauriful too. uncle skip has sat in them, if he remembers. he didn`t complain, but if he had, there was plenty of room in the bed, haha.

Glad you joined up. You need to show the club some pictures of your truck.

I know this will sound silly, but I added about 1/2 spacer on the front of my seat track and gained some extra leg room. I had bench seats out of a 94 F-150, and my tank had been moved. It's all about the angles.
