Slick 60's

I am looking for a carpet kit for the 66'. ACC wants $330 including shipping and a yard of extra carpet. stockinteriors.com wants $223 plus shipping. Anyone have any experience using the stock interior guys? It is more affordable, but is it lower quality stuff??

I've heard that ACC is the best way to go but many other vendor site just resells ACC at a lower price

Looking at the Stockinteriors site and what they offer including the custom logo-embroidered floor mats, I'd venture a guess that they sell ACC carpet.

You could always call and ask. There aren't many companies that make their own carpet - especially offering it up for that many applications, colors, materials, etc.

Let us know what you find out. Prices look pretty good.

Jeff's Bronco Graveyard has ACC kits for my '75 at $140. They have front sets for '66 Broncos at same cost. I don't know if they fit slicks. Pretty useless reply I spose. Sorry.

Ive been looking myself for awhile. I have a 62 thatoriginally had a 292. Now i have a 390 with column shift. The choices are HI or LO tunnel. I THINK i have a lo tunnel. When were the Hi tunnels used? My drivetrain isnt original so I dont know.

I am not sure but i think the high tunnel was for the four speed and the low was for a three on the tree.

yeah that makes sense. I dont think it had a 4 on the floor prior. Im pretty sur eits a low since its not a huge step up ata ll. thanks

if your transmission tunnel is removable then you have the high tunnel. if it is all one stamped piece as part of the floor then you have the low.

actually it's a good response as the the 65 and 66 floors are the same as the 67 to 79 floors.

Well im still confused cause I have a C6 and in other posts it was stated that if its a C6 then its a high tunnel. This isnt a good pic but i do have a rise but like i said its maybe 2-3 inches off the normal plane.

I can barely tell in your pic but looks to me like you have the high tunnel.

You should be able to tell from under the truck if you don't want to lift the carpet. The high tunnel will be held in place with sheet metal screws spaced about 4" apart all the way around. The relief that frames it will still be in place even if the floor is cut for the high tunnel.

i got the carpet from lmc which it came from acc ??? it fits pad and everything for my 65

OK i need to take a better pictture. Id say there is like a 2" hump? I juststarted making a speaker box,driunk holder ect to sit on the hump. Ill look again. Leeroy, its not carpet its a rubber mat. Alkthough i love to be able to just spray the inside out with the hose when i wash it i think i want it to look better. but its so nice to spray out and not worry about vacuming
