Uni floor replacement with regular cab floor??

awhile back I remember a thread where someone was replacing the entire floor in their unibody with a floor (and firewall maybe) from a regular cab ('61-'64) but I can't find that thread now (search didn't help much).
Can someone direct me to that thread as I'm about to start the same/similar project and would like to review that thread.
Thanks in advance!

The only difference is that a non uni has provisions for rear cab mounts the uni does not other than that they are the same. I sectioned a non uni cab floor, cowl and front clip onto a uni bed and cab top.
Check this link out its not all the pictures of this build. There are about 400 pictures and I havent loaded them on photobucket but it will give you an idea of what went into that build

I think you are looking for mercman64 build but it does not exsist anymore. May have gone far enough back and dropped off of the projects forum. He did a ground up total rebuild on a pretty red and white uni. I think he got a rust free cab out of Az shipped to him and cut it and used the lower section to rebuild his uni. I wonder if the admin archives those and they can be brought back or are they gone into the ozone never to be seen again.

I think the 'Mercman' thread is the one I was thinking of but it looks like 'oldtrucks' is similar.
I was thinking I'd add the frame brackets to the uni frame for the 'new' rear cab mounts - any have thoughts on that??

I think the lack of rear cab mounts was to allow the frame to twist independent of the body. Adding rear cab mounts might make the body twist? Personally, I'd box the frame if I was going to go that route.
Or just put the body on a 90's crown vic / marquis frame...

I guess my thought was that they left the rear cab mounts/bolts out because there are bolts at the front of the bed also - so only about 6-8" apart if both were retained....
So rather than rebuilding the 'torque box' where the front bed bolts are (that's rusted just like the floor is), I was thinking I'd just use the rear cab mounts instead - definitely need one or the other but probably not both.

Never played w/ a uni - thought the only mounts were front cab & back of bed. My bad - ignore the above. LOL
